SUBMISSIONS

Please review our publishing list and areas of interest before submitting your manuscript. We receive a large number of submissions, and we want to ensure that every manuscript we consider is genuinely aligned with ObaFaith Publishing’s mission and publishing program. This helps us give serious attention to the works that best fit our vision.

WHAT WE PUBLISH

ObaFaith Publishing is dedicated to publishing thoughtful, biblically grounded, culturally relevant Christian books for readers in Africa, the African diaspora, and the wider global Christian community.

We welcome both fiction and nonfiction, with particular interest in the following areas:

Christian Living & Spiritual Growth – Books that help readers deepen their faith, develop spiritual disciplines, navigate everyday challenges, and grow in their relationship with God.
Biblical Studies & Theology – Accessible and substantive works that engage Scripture, Christian doctrine, theology, biblical interpretation, and contemporary questions of faith.
Christian Leadership & Ministry – Resources for pastors, church leaders, missionaries, ministry workers, teachers, and Christian organizations, particularly those addressing the realities of ministry in African and developing-world contexts.
African Christian Voices – Works that reflect the experiences, theological perspectives, histories, traditions, and contemporary realities of African Christians and the global African diaspora.
Christian Memoir & Testimony – Personal stories of faith, transformation, perseverance, calling, restoration, migration, and encounters with God.
Christian Fiction – Novels and narrative fiction rooted in Christian values and themes, including literary fiction, historical fiction, contemporary stories, inspirational fiction, and stories exploring faith within African and diasporic communities.
Christian Family & Relationships – Practical and thoughtful books addressing marriage, parenting, family life, relationships, and Christian values within contemporary society.
Christian Personal Development – Encouraging and practical books addressing purpose, resilience, work, leadership, stewardship, character, emotional and spiritual maturity, and personal transformation from a Christian perspective.
Christian History & Cultural Studies – Books examining the history of Christianity in Africa, the African church, missions, Christian movements, religious communities, and the intersection of Christianity with African culture and society.
Christian Arts, Music & Culture – Works exploring Christian art, music, worship, creativity, architecture, literature, popular culture, and the role of faith in African and diasporic creative expression.
Christian Essays & Cultural Commentary – Thoughtful works engaging contemporary social, cultural, ethical, and intellectual questions from a clearly Christian perspective.
Devotional & Inspirational Books – Devotionals, reflections, meditations, prayer books, and inspirational works designed to encourage and strengthen readers in their faith.
Christian Educational & Ministry Resources – Books and resources for churches, Bible study groups, schools, theological institutions, ministry programs, and Christian organizations.

OUR PUBLISHING VISION

We are particularly interested in authentic Christian voices emerging from Africa and the African diaspora and in books that speak meaningfully to the realities of contemporary African life.

We seek works that combine faith, substance, cultural relevance, and compelling storytelling. Whether theological, practical, literary, devotional, scholarly, or narrative, we are interested in books that have something meaningful to say and can serve readers beyond a single congregation or local community.

We believe African Christians should not only be readers of Christian literature but also authors, theologians, storytellers, scholars, and publishers of Christian thought.

Our goal is to help bring distinctive Christian voices and perspectives from Africa to readers around the world while also making quality Christian literature from international publishers accessible to African readers.

We welcome submissions from authors worldwide, provided the work is written in English and aligns with our publishing mission.

We consider submissions from:

Established Christian authors
Pastors and ministry leaders
Theologians and scholars
Missionaries and Christian educators
Experienced self-published authors
First-time and emerging authors
African and diaspora writers
Christian organizations and ministry practitioners

WHAT WE GENERALLY DO NOT PUBLISH

We generally do not consider manuscripts that fall outside our Christian publishing mission, including secular fiction and nonfiction, erotica, pornography, or works that are primarily political, commercial, or self-promotional without a substantive Christian purpose.

We may also decline manuscripts that do not demonstrate a clear connection to Christian faith, Scripture, ministry, Christian thought, or the lived experience of Christian communities.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ObaFaith Publishing accepts unsolicited manuscript queries by email only.

Before submitting, please ensure that your manuscript fits one or more of our publishing areas.

Please send the following in the body of your email. We do not open unsolicited manuscript attachments.

Please include:

Your full name and contact information
Book title
Genre/category
A brief description of the book
Synopsis
The first three chapters or approximately 4,000 words
A brief author biography (100–150 words)
Your previous publishing history, if applicable
Information about your ministry, professional, academic, or organizational background, where relevant to the manuscript

If we believe your manuscript may be a good fit for our publishing program, we will contact you directly to request additional material or discuss the next steps.

Because of the volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to respond individually to status inquiries. If you do not hear from us within the period specified on our submissions page, you may assume that we are unable to pursue the manuscript at this time.
